Not only did Niagara Falls freeze over in 1848 and 1911, it also froze over again in 1932.
It did not freeze solid, however, as there were a few trickles of water that still flowed.

More than 200 spectators braved the bitter cold to watch the first speed skating races on the frozen Cambridgeshire Fens for 13 years.
